Where have we come from? Where are we going?
EDUCARE means to lead out of darkness.
The inhabitants of earth often find themselves in the dark, and need a guide, so they looked to the sun, to fire, to volcanos, and decided these were gods.
UNIVERSITY means one turn, perhaps coming from the solar system turning around the sun.
A university was originally a guild of teachers and students; an economic arrangement.
In the beginning, only the very wealthy could afford to go to a university.
Guild probably comes from GOLD, which we tend to associate with light, with gods and royalty, shining like the sun.
It's confusing: isn't God fabulously rich, like a king? That would be the logical position.
We need guides to help us get through this and that's what the original universities were: think the GREEKS.
Note: people think companions and guides are different ideas, but the name of Christ is Emmanuel, God with us. The angel guides are first of all our friends.
In the uriel system, as we progress through the GRADES, we could use the following guides: GEPPETTO, GANDALF, GABRIEL AND GIOVE, JAH, JEHOVA or GESU depending on how you see tings.
We require that all matriculating students be familiar with a few stories that guide us all in the direction of the light.
